Wearside Pneumatics has undertaken a compressed air installation which provided a complete air solution for an educational and training facility.
The air system will be used to teach a variety of vocational courses, including paint spraying, CNC machining, pneumatics and motor vehicle repair.
Wearside Pneumatics provided an Atlas Copco GA37VSD compressor, an air dryer and the ancillary equipment required for the system. The project included installing compressed air pipework in 50mm, in order to reduce the risk of pressure drops. The overall Ring Main was approximately 70m x 20m and included 28 drops with a double outlet and 34 drops with a single outlet. A drop to the site’s lower level was included with 2 ‘take offs’. All of the terminations within the system include ¾” Isolation Valves.
The compressed air pipe work was installed in Atlas Copco Airnet. Airnet pipe work and fittings are supplied with a 10 year manufacturer’s warranty as standard and already identifiable in compressed air blue.
The compressor, filtration and pipe work were all installed by Wearside Pneumatics’ outstanding in house team, who carried out a pressure test of the pipe work to 1.5x working pressure.
