Wearside Pneumatics, the Authorised Distributor for Atlas Copco compressors and vacuum pumps in the North-East of England is on the lookout for Britain’s oldest compressor.
We have teamed up with Atlas Copco to help us with the search; they will replace the oldest still running, oil-injected, 30-90kW, stationary compressor in Britain with a brand new machine that delivers the same amount of air.

How the competition works:
If you think that your site might have a contender for the title of Britain’s Oldest Compressor, please visit the Atlas Copco website to enter the competition. We will then arrange a follow up visit to your site to verify your entry and conduct a complimentary #airCheck of your compressed air system.
Atlas Copco will supply the new compressor to the winning business; if that business is in the North-East of England, we will install and commission the machine and provide a quote for the ongoing servicing on that new compressor.
It is completely FREE to enter and any make of industrial compressor is eligible provided it meets the following criteria:
- Oil-injected
- Motor power rating between 30kW and 90kW
- Stationary
- Still running
- OLD
