Moving to an energy-efficient Variable Speed Drive compressor has helped a Wearside Pneumatics customer to reduce energy consumption by almost £2,000 per annum.

By replacing an older, fixed-speed compressor with a new Atlas Copco GA30VSD+ machine, the client was enable to reduce the energy consumption of their compressed air equipment by 12%.
Variable Speed Drive technology responds to changing demand for compressed air by adjusting the flow of air accordingly, which reduces both energy consumption and the lifecycle costs of the compressor. In addition, the GAVSD+ range offers an increase of up to 12% in Free Air Delivery compared with similar compressors from other manufacturers.
